We worked with Sona to plan our dream honeymoon to Tanzania which included a six day safari and four days at Zanzibar. She was helpful and flexible with the itinerary, and all accommodations were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stays extra special. Our safari guides were extremely knowledgeable and great to spend time with. Sona and the staff/drivers were easy to reach throughout, including when we had issues with our arrival flight. Overall, it is clear that Tourio is committed to creating the perfect experience for its clients, and it delivered us the best trip of our lives!

Sona arranged a fantastic private tour totally customized for my daughter and I back in Aug/Sept 2023. Although it was a hectic 17 days trip, she managed to keep our itinerary intact. All our drivers were great and felt extremely safe in all their hands. I’ll definitely keep her in mind for our future Africa trips.

I cannot recommend Tourio Getaways highly enough from our recent adventure to Tanzania. We travelled as a family of 9 which included three children ages 3, 5 & 11 which would usually be a difficult task to plan considering how much we wanted to do in a timeframe of two weeks.

From the moment we booked, Sona took care of every single detail to ensure our holiday was seamless and enjoyable.

The airport transfers arranged for us were prompt and reliable, getting us to our first hotel without a problem. The accommodations they selected, in Dar es Salaam, our safari adventure and our relaxing beach stay in Zanzibar, were fantastic, comfortable, clean, and offered 5 star amenities. The return ferry journey from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar was also planned incredibly well.

The safari itself was the highlight of the trip for the kids, and Sona worked with us to customize the most perfect and comfortable itinerary. Their local guides were incredibly knowledgeable, helping us spot many incredible animals in their natural habitats. We felt safe and well cared for the entire time.

What really set Sona & Tourio Getaways apart, was the personal touch and commitment to customer service. Sona checked in with us regularly before the trip to address any questions or concerns, and remained in close contact throughout to make sure everything was going smoothly. It was clear she truly wanted us to have the best possible experience.

We cannot thank Sona enough for her excellent planning and execution, our trip to Tanzania exceeded all of our expectations. I cannot recommend Tourio Getaways strongly enough – they took all the stress out of travel and allowed us to simply enjoy every moment and create lifelong memories that we’ll certainly cherish. Sona managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat for my last minute family Tanzania safari experience for the husband’s 40th during Peak season. From recommending the best hotels, to pleasing from age 5 to age 65+, Tourio pulled out all stops!

When a travel agent can get the pilot to wish happy birthday, you know the service has been A ++. When on a whim we decided at 5 pm to do a hot air balloon the next morning in the midst of the safari, she even sorted that out. No request was too big- massive thank you to Sona and her team for making the special birthday spectacular!
